I'm glad Ruth liked what I have so far and my plans for the first exhibition. She gave me more ideas to put on there which I'm grateful for. The characters will have early, sketchy stuff at the bottom working towards the more refined stuff at the top.
We had discussions about the Flintstones and how that should definitely be something I talk about in depth as it is what I kind of want for my show. Also talked about why my characters are fairies and more on the environment. I need to look up shows that aren't necessarily cartoons that reflect ideas I want to put in my show, especially NZ ones. I want Monarch Park to be unique but there are other shows that exist that have similar ideas.
I definitely want to bring in my year 12 art boards to show the origins of the fairies.
I have also made up a wall of reason to write up answers to questions and to really just put my ideas on. It's up to people if they want to read it all or not.
I liked that I clarified that this year I want to focus on talking about the stories and characters not how they look and those reasons. I will write this up on the wall. On my inspiration board I think I do need more underneath about the insides of particular shows.
I need to put all this in my proposal for sure.
