Supervision

I need to read Ruth's feedback from the exhibition and email her my week's aims.

I'm glad she likes my little table for my next exhibition and it was a good idea to paint it a different colour. I'm thinking a dark green like the logo for Monarch Park. I definitely believe the shorter table without chairs is far more inviting to engage in the content.

My plan is to eventually, potentially, put all of my exhibitions together for Southsure and have the installation in Transition Gallery and maybe the whole room be all about Monarch Park. I would certainly take some things down and rework some aspects but trial and error before the main event.
I just had thoughts of possibly hiring out digital tablets that have my game on them and having them set up to play the game in one section. Then in another section is a computer with the visual novel on to play. Certainly a colouring and activity area. I'll need to get room measurements and mock it up in 3D to plan the best places.

Ruth brought up my chosen age demographic and related it to her own kids and what they're up to. I've chosen 8-12 as it's a general range that most of the shows I've looked at use for their demos.
I've found this interesting website where people go on and rate how they feel the shows are aimed:
https://www.commonsensemedia.org/tv-reviews
It seems to be updated a lot.
Ruth's views are a max age 10, but I wouldn't want to cap out an age when I feel like older girls in particular might still want to watch it. But I think the age range is a range in order to be inclusive and show the appeal it can be from multiple kids. From a marketing point of view a wider age range the better for audience/customer reach aka more money for the funder potentially, and more people to advertise to. It is good to consider my age range more however as it is something that TVNZ will want to know in depth. One of the things that need to be in the proposal for the New Blood competition is about the demographic I think Monarch Park will reach and resonate with.
Kids who want real stories and real characters but shown through fantasy fun.

This recent study on traditional television watching could be interesting to go through:

From and overview it seems that TV views are declining while streaming and device use are climbing. This plays into Transmedia storytelling of the need to be across multiple platforms for greatest engagement and variety of mediums that Monarch Park can be on and accessed to.
