Transmedia Class

Lots discussed today.

I have put on a link to my main website on the Monarch Park website so people can find their way back.

Being harmonious between all the social media platforms and websites is important to get people to go to each one and be able to find their way around no matter where they start from. Unfortunately sites like Instagram are a bit harder to put links out there because of the nature of the website. But everything else can have links everywhere.

SEO's are something to go through my websites and update so my stuff can be googled easier and come up if people search.

Update: I have gone through Wix's really handy SEO guide and my stuff is all up to code.

I think I won't worry about paying for wix as I'm not too worried about the benefits of that yet. It's probably more but I think it's just name URL, better googling, and analytics.

Unity is definitely the program I want to do my visual novel in for future flexibility. Multiple exporting options and game add ons and cut scenes etc. All being adapted to what I want and what platform I choose. We had a look at RenPy which is made to make visual novels but I doubt it has they ability to be adapted for more.
Itch.io is probably where I'll upload my visual novel and game.

Keeping up with the goings on in the NZ comic sphere will be good to see if anyone else is doing anything similar to my project.
Rachel knows about this guy's stuff and what his challenges were and to learn from:

I know NZ probably isn't big in the Visual Novel market but I think it'll become more popular in the future. I've certainly seen it more recently from games that are popular like dating sims.
I think visual novels have lots of potential and great for me to get my stuff out there in a polished, finished looking format without all the work put into animating everything.
In the end, the story is the most important part, not flashy animations though they are the end goal.
